Function Point Support Team Awarded QuickBooks® ProAdvisor Certification

Function Point Productivity Software Support Team Lead, Jeremy Nichvalodoff, recently completed a comprehensive curriculum and examination to become a Certified QuickBooks® ProAdvisor. Function Point provides a streamlined, cloud-based project management system for creative agencies that synchronizes all aspects of workflow—from estimates to invoices—and is fully integrated with accounting software QuickBooks® Online.

The designation means certified ProAdvisors at Function Point are trained in QuickBooks®, and are able to answer client questions about software integration, as well as provide an exceptional level of support service to bookkeepers and accountants. The certification was a natural evolution in elevating the level of client support offered, as Function Point is a QuickBooks® Gold Developer. Developers awarded the Gold certification have had to undergo extensive testing and approval by the QuickBooks® Technical Review to ensure applications integrate seamlessly with QuickBooks®, and achieve other product functionality.

The QuickBooks® ProAdvisor Program, developed by Intuit, requires participants to complete a training program that teaches best practices in QuickBooks® setup, payroll, reporting, and other day-to-day QuickBooks® functions. “There’s a greater level of trust and comfort now we have certified support staff,” said Nichvalodoff, who has a background in accounting, and previously worked for Sage. “Accountants appreciate hearing the correct accounting terminology. We can communicate as equals. And the clearer we are, the better the service.”

The Function Point Support Team provides client experience support by phone or email, with a response time of less than three hours. One of the team’s internal key performance indicators is to make sure satisfaction levels are over 95%. Last month, the Support Team hit a 98% satisfaction level. QuickBooks® integration questions make up a portion of the calls, and may include queries as simple as “should I print an invoice from QuickBooks® or Function Point?”, or more complex questions about the process of creating financial reports, so that owners can run their business better. “I find the biggest reward is not just the amount of issues solved,” said Nichvalodoff, “But how the client feels after we help them.”

Function Point integrates with QuickBooks® through an installed desktop version, or QuickBooks® Online. Automatic backup systems, high security levels, and the option for an agency’s staff to complete financial work from any location in the world are all benefits of the complete cloud integration of the two systems. Currently, the integration of Function Point and QuickBooks® Online is available in the United States, with plans to create versions for Function Point clients world-wide.
