The integrated system will have a significant impact on agencies of all sizes, because there is no infrastructure required, it’s inexpensive, and it’s easy to set up. No longer do you need a dedicated PC on which to install the accounting software or a virtual machine hosted on third party servers. Users simply log in to QuickBooks Online, and integrate the accounting program with Function Point software in a matter of minutes. Wilson says, “The system is very quick and simple to set up, and it’s affordable.”
The new, comprehensive integration means that with the click of a button, bookkeepers can pull Function Point invoices that are marked for export, directly into QuickBooks Online. These value-added services help clients reduce redundant processes and billable time, because invoices don’t need to be re-created in QuickBooks. Since it’s possible to integrate with QuickBooks Online on a daily basis, companies also have increased visibility on project costs and expenses.
Currently, the integration of Function Point and QuickBooks Online is available in the United States, with plans to create versions for Function Point clients world-wide.
