Building a company is a very dynamic activity. Multiple personalities, group and individual agendas, and the whole issue of working together towards a common goal all make for very complex interactions among all stakeholders.
At function point (fp.), we have enjoyed a great deal of mutual respect. Not just internally but with all of our clients and partners. “Treat people the way you want to be treated and respect an individual for their unique point of view and contribution”. This is something I have always practiced in my work career.
So how does this relate to building the very best Creative Management Software?
In my opinion Culture is the company. It defines how we act with regards to respecting a new inquiry that comes in, how we respond to a client asking for a new feature that would help their workflow, along with interacting internally in managing stress, growth or implementing a tough decision.
Here is our Core Value Statement:
We never give up. We always persevere and strive everyday to excel at what we say we are going to do. And we do it in a respectful environment supporting learning and education.
We work in an environment described by the following:

We are a values-driven organization. It is our values that help guide us in our day-to-day activities. They separate us from our competitors and lay the foundation of our culture.
This February we will celebrate 15 years of Function Point. Here is to a culture to carry it for 15 more.
